About Sprout Social and the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the AI leadership team in building and executing our platform-wide AI strategy, focusing on delivering quality results and driving the architecture, design, and roadmap of AI/ML products.
- Steer the engineering team responsible for foundational AI/ML products used across our entire product suite and customer base, ensuring scalability, reliability, and distributed AI product development.
- Partner with the VP, Engineering, and other leaders to chart the strategic growth of the AI team, defining new teams, and steering architecture and product direction.
- Guide the team through complex product and technical roadmaps, aligning with product management and design to support strategy execution.
- Foster a culture of growth and development within the team through effective feedback, coaching, and career development.
Essential Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in developing and supporting AI products in a production environment.
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading data science teams.
- Technical expertise in modern AI technologies, designing, implementing, and maintaining AI models and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in developing and scaling high-performance teams through hiring and coaching engineering leaders, data scientists, and ML engineers.
- Experience aligning a team's focus and vision towards impactful work across a complex product suite for a diverse, global customer base.
- Track record of influencing and aligning stakeholders across different functions to drive successful outcomes.
- Experience with enterprise-level distributed applications using Python, Java, distributed queuing systems, etc.
- Experience developing systems to deploy, manage, and serve machine learning models at scale.
- Familiarity with generative AI, including open-source and third-party solutions like OpenAI.

Compensation and Benefits
Our compensation package is designed to attract and retain top talent. For this role, the base pay ranges are:
- Zone 1: $280,000 to $300,000 USD annually.
- Zone 2: $260,000 to $285,000 USD annually.
