Job Summary
The successful candidate will support the creation and maintenance of reports, provide departmental insights on performance, and build data models to solve various quantitative projects. Collaborating closely with our technology team on business needs and data warehouse services, you will help meet departmental demands and drive data quality. Your expertise in data analysis, reporting, and visualization will be essential in creating impactful dashboards and reports that inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new reports, as well as modify existing ones, to support service procedures and data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and maintain robust Data Quality standards and controls to ensure data integrity and access.
- Manage and create new report pipelines from source systems to the Data Warehouse.
- Work closely with Management and Business Analysts to identify business requirements, maintain complete documentation, and obtain service sign-offs for all reporting requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting pipelines and data models.
- Apply data storytelling principles to create clear and impactful data visualizations using Power BI.
- Aid in automating existing business processes and enhancing exception-based reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and Business Analysts to investigate, research, and acquire new data variables (data exploration).
- Analyze large datasets to identify meaningful patterns that provide actionable insights.
- Thoroughly assess data from multiple sources, resolve discrepancies, and validate data for correctness.
- Research data errors, remediate poor data, and contribute to the Data Governance plan by updating the data dictionary and policies & procedures.
- Analyze and affirm metrics are effective, providing feedback to division leaders on trends that require attention.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in in-depth data analysis, preferably in a business intelligence or reporting capacity.
- Solid experience working with Power BI, including creating reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Proficiency in DAX, SQL, and M Code, with the ability to write complex queries and scripts.
- Strong data modeling skills, with experience using star schema or other methodologies.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify meaningful patterns.
- Experience with ETL tools, such as SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or other Big Data integrations.
- Familiarity with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), Power BI, and Power Query.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with Smartsheets or other project management tools.
- Knowledge of data governance principles and practices.
