About the Role: Remote Medical Claim Appeals Support Specialist
As a Remote Medical Claim Appeals Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the processing of medical claim appeals by healthcare professionals. In this position, you will perform administrative tasks, provide project support, and deliver exceptional customer service. If you have a passion for healthcare and a knack for administrative work, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to grow your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and input data from various sources, including treatment providers and health plans, into the system for Independent Medical Review.
- Customer Service: Respond effectively to incoming calls from clients, health plans, and providers regarding case status, program inquiries, and the appeals process.
- Project Support: Provide administrative support for projects and tasks as assigned.
- General Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative tasks to support the team.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the team.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:
- Location: Must be a NYS resident to be considered for this opportunity.
- Experience: Healthcare experience is required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Technical Skills: Ability to learn and utilize software applications and systems.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Medical Terminology: Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations.
- Administrative Experience: Previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
- Time Management: Excellent time management and organizational skills.
