Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound calls to insurance companies, providers, and patients to verify patient benefits and coverage, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Investigate and resolve benefit-related issues and discrepancies, providing solutions and alternatives to patients and healthcare providers.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining their medical benefits and answering questions in a clear and concise manner.
- Maintain accurate records of benefit investigations in our system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to KPI's and performance metrics, striving for excellence in all aspects of your work.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in medical benefits investigation or a related field (no exceptions).
- Strong understanding of health insurance plans and coverage, including relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- High-speed internet with modem access, ensuring reliable and fast connectivity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in medical benefit investigation, with a strong understanding of the complexities and nuances of healthcare coverage.
- Call center experience, with a proven track record of handling high-volume calls and providing excellent customer service.
