Job Overview and Responsibilities

We're seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team in a remote capacity, based in the US. As a key member of our customer services team, you'll play a vital role in delivering a safe and exceptional airport experience to our customers. Your expertise and flexibility will be essential in ensuring a seamless experience across all areas of customer services, including check-in, gates, transfer, arrival, baggage services, and ticketing.

• Offer consistently high-quality customer service, ensuring a positive experience at all contact points
• Perform various airport-related tasks and be prepared to support the daily operation in any potential required area
• Work closely with and take instructions from the team leader responsible for the flight/work areas/shift
• Conduct relevant administrative tasks, such as ATAC, pre-flight, and post-flight departure
• Represent American Airlines by adhering to uniform standards and adopting a customer-centered approach at all times
• Promote and sell American Airlines services and products to our customers
• Attend and complete all required training by given deadlines
• Adhere to and promote safe working practices at all times
• Perform any other reasonable duties consistent with the post

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, a solution-oriented approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You'll also require:

• A strong customer focus and enjoy face-to-face contact with customers
• The ability to handle conflicts professionally within time constraints
• The capacity to work with minimum supervision and manage stress effectively
• A well-groomed appearance and adherence to uniform standards at all times
• The ability and willingness to work in a shift environment, including weekends, bank, and public holidays
• Reliability, punctuality, and compliance with all American Airlines policies and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A valid BAA airside pass and GSAT training
• The willingness and ability to complete all relevant training and maintain a valid BAA jet bridge permit as required

Desired Qualifications and Experience

While not essential, the following qualifications and experience would be advantageous:

• Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the airline or hospitality industry
• A strong understanding of airport operations and customer services
