Job Summary and Key Responsibilities

- Tasks: Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and prescription management.
- Operations: Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, company policies, and standards, and assist the pharmacy manager in promoting the effective workflow of the pharmacy.
- Clinical and Health Services: Perform clinical and health services, such as vaccinations, diagnostic testing, and disease state management.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care and promote health and wellness.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the state of Florida.
- Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong knowledge of relevant state and federal controlled substance regulations.
- Certified Immunizer or able to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare providers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
While not required, the following preferred qualifications and experience will be considered an asset:
- At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
- Experience with pharmacy management systems, electronic health records, and other healthcare technology.
- Knowledge of clinical guidelines, disease state management, and health promotion.
- Experience with community outreach and health education programs.
