Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our team in Denver, CO. As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule, with the flexibility to choose assignments that suit your preferences and availability. We offer competitive pay rates, with up to $189 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments, as well as a range of benefits and support to help you excel in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of subjects and grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced educational setting
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree
- Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
- A CO Substitute Teacher Authorization (or be in the process of obtaining one)
- A background check (we will cover the cost of the check)
- A passion for education and a commitment to putting students first
- An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
