Job Overview
We are urgently seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Laborer to join our team in Eagle, CO. This is a skilled position that involves control and operation of multiple types of asphalt equipment and labor duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various manual tasks and safely operating a variety of equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Greasing and adjusting plant equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Unloading AC tankers and performing other labor duties as required
- Pulling oil/asphalt and cold feed samples for quality control purposes
- Collecting shot temperatures and performing other tasks related to asphalt production
- Safely and efficiently operating skid steer/man lift and other equipment
- Maintaining the general upkeep of the plant area, including cleaning and organization
- Assisting with maintenance and minor repairs on the plant equipment
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications and requirements:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Minimum of 1 year experience and/or training in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of road construction experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check
- Must maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
