Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Associate to join our team at blithequark. As a Customer Service Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, ensuring that every customer leaves our store feeling valued and satisfied. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting customers with questions and recommendations, providing personalized support to enhance their shopping experience
- Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all transactions
- Maintaining security of cash and protecting blithequark assets, adhering to our high standards of integrity and accountability
- Keeping the store well-stocked, recovering merchandise, and receiving new shipments, ensuring that our store is always fully stocked and visually appealing
- Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment, maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders at all times
- Maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
- Performing other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment, highly preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents, with strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
- Physical ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height, meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills, with a strong focus on building rapport and resolving customer complaints
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and customers
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with ability to think critically and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment
