**Job Summary**
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing phone support to patients receiving specialty medication. You'll be the primary point of contact for patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers, ensuring that their needs are met and their medication is delivered on time. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide phone support to patients receiving specialty medication, addressing their concerns and resolving any issues that may arise
* Coordinate and handle new and reordered medication requests, including checking and verifying benefits
* Assist patients in deciphering and entering new or reordered medications into our pharmacy data system
* Collect and process copay payments, obtain approvals, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and approve orders with billing or clinical issues
* Collaborate with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners to ensure timely delivery of specialty medication and meet financial and clinical expectations
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and resolution of issues
**Essential Qualifications**
* One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
* One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
* One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Six months of experience resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
* Medical experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
**Training and Education**
* High school diploma or equivalent required
