Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis to ensure that our residents receive their meals in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Clean worktables, meat blocks, and refrigerators/freezers, etc. to maintain a clean and safe environment for food preparation and service.
• Assist the cook in preparing meals, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Serve food trays from carts, dining rooms, etc., and take them to the dishwashing area for cleaning and sanitizing.
• Work collaboratively with other dietary staff to ensure that all food services functions are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, meal service, and other relevant information as required.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to ensure that our food services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Essential Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
• Covid Vaccine required unless an approved exemption is presented upon hiring.
• Must be 18+ to apply.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a dietary or food service environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles.
