Job Overview and Responsibilities
As a Flexologist at StretchLab, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional one-on-one assisted stretching sessions and group classes to our clients. Your primary goal will be to create a safe, supportive, and results-driven environment that helps our clients achieve their flexibility and wellness goals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering one-on-one assisted stretch sessions and group stretch classes for up to 6 clients, tailored to their individual needs and goals
- Learning and performing standard 25 and 50-minute 1:1 stretch sessions, as well as group stretch classes, that include all major muscle groups, plus extremities
- Customizing stretch sessions to fit the individual needs of each client, taking into account their unique goals, limitations, and preferences
- Assessing each client's body, needs, and discussing outcome goals with them to ensure a personalized approach
- Providing exceptional customer service and delivering a high-end experience to every client, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and motivated throughout their journey
- Encouraging and motivating clients throughout a full flexibility training program, with each stretch session building on the previous one to achieve optimal results
- Building StretchLab membership and retaining current clientele through sales and outreach to leads, leveraging your communication skills and passion for the brand
- Managing client care by delivering a best-in-class stretching experience, updating client notes consistently, and booking client's weekly recurring appointments
- Ensuring the safety of clients in regards to proper stretch techniques and enforcing StretchLab policies and safety rules
- Attending mandatory staff meetings and required educational presentations to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques, research, and industry developments
- Handling member concerns when applicable, and assisting Sales Associates and General Manager with studio tours and sales as needed
- Maintaining a strong social media presence to promote client membership and retention, as well as showcasing your expertise and passion for the brand
- Cleaning and maintaining all equipment to ensure it is available for client use at any given time, and contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming studio environment
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful as a Flexologist at StretchLab, you will need to possess the following qualifications and characteristics:
- A love of boutique fitness environments and a passion for stretching, mobility, and flexibility
- A nationally certified and/or licensed background as a physical therapist, chiropractor, personal trainer, massage therapist, yoga instructor, Pilates teacher, or another form of specialized health & fitness professional
- 1-2 years of previous experience in either a fitness facility, private training environment, or professional health setting, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional client experiences
- Superior communication skills (verbal & written) with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and motivate them to achieve their goals
- Ability to successfully perform stretch routines on clients of all sizes and age groups, with a focus on safety, comfort, and effectiveness
- Desire to continually learn new principles in the areas of stretching, anatomy, and overall fitness, health, and nutrition, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development
- Hands-on training and experience in areas such as anatomy, Kinesiology, corrective exercise, post-rehab, and injury prevention, athletic training, with a strong foundation in human movement and biomechanics
- Passionate and positive about helping others achieve long-term progress and results, with a focus on retention and client satisfaction
- Experience working in a fitness/health environment where you provided hands-on training with clients, with a strong understanding of client needs, goals, and motivations
- Fitness certification required, with a commitment to maintaining certification and staying up-to-date on industry developments
- Ability to create a positive environment that welcomes all people, with a focus on inclusivity, diversity, and respect
- Fantastic communication skills and empathy, with the ability to connect with clients on a personal level and understand their unique needs and concerns
- Professional work ethic, reliability, and adherence to our attendance policies, with a commitment to being punctual, prepared, and engaged in all aspects of your work
- Availability to go through our 2-day Flexologist Training Program, which includes 20 hours of online tutorials and 2 days of in-person/hands-on training, with a focus on learning our proprietary methods and techniques
