Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our tech team in a remote online capacity. As a data engineer, you'll play a critical role in architecting, coding, and delivering software solutions that make us an integral part of our clients' digital lives. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and operate relational database programs across development, test, and production environments
- Design and implement powerful test instances that are integrated into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop observability abilities into solutions to enable the critical identification of root causes for failures in time-sensitive processes
- Ensure scalability with SQL and other data management technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for data engineering solutions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall quality of the codebase
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in developing, deploying, and operating relational database programs
- Proven experience in growing powerful test instances that are integrated into CI/CD pipelines
- 2+ years of experience with scalability using SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Public Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) is a plus
- Experience with data engineering tools and technologies such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or Apache Kafka
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
Skills and Competencies
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
