Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our IT Service Desk team as a Technical Support Representative (TSR). As a TSR, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our internal customers, resolving IT-related issues, and ensuring that our business operations run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain Service Desk metrics by meeting or exceeding expectations for quality, efficiency, and service
- Demonstrate a growing understanding of blithequark's business and business objectives, IT Divisional Goals and objectives, various business areas, technical conditions, and systems that support the blithequark business
- Recognize the impact of projects and/or changes to IT Supported Systems and adapt troubleshooting to address the needs of the customer
- Exercise independent judgment and accountability for resolving technical issues
- Effectively participate in the development of interpersonal skills and professionalism in relationships with vendors, supported clients, and other IT teams
- Build and maintain helpful, cooperative, and effective relationships with second and third-level IT teams, vendors, and supported clients
- Resolve or escalate incidents, and create internal news and knowledge base articles
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating internal tools and processes, and suggesting improvements
- Provide answers to customers by identifying issues, researching responses, and guiding customers through remedial steps
- Evaluate, analyze, and address end-users' IT system issues through first-level IT technical support via calls, chat, and/or email
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A passion for IT and a strong interest in technical support
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
- A positive, mature, and professional attitude
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations and within time constraints
- Remarkable work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to work independently
- Intermediate computer skills, with the ability to type accurately and efficiently
- Flexibility to work in a 24/7/365 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Prior experience in a technical support role or IT-related field
- Knowledge of and experience with Google Applications, AS400, scripting, and other technical tools
- Previous experience working in a Service Desk environment or IT-related degree or certification
- Familiarity with blithequark's business operations and systems
