About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching high school English, with a focus on British Literature, to students in grades 9-12. This is a full-time position expected to begin immediately and last for up to 12 weeks or through the end of the Fall semester. As a Long Term Substitute Teacher at blithequark, you will be an integral part of our faculty team, working collaboratively with colleagues to maximize student learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach high school English, with a focus on British Literature, to students in grades 9-12
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that integrate technology and promote student-centered learning
• Provide individualized support and feedback to students to ensure their academic success
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and other school events
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents and guardians as needed

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have:

Essential Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of British Literature and experience teaching high school English
• Excellent classroom management skills and ability to engage students in learning

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• A master's degree in English, Education, or a related field
