About the Role: Loss Prevention Service Specialist
As a Loss Prevention Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting customer service, preventing theft, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for our customers and employees. You will be the face of our company, greeting customers, and providing exceptional service while also being vigilant and proactive in preventing loss and minimizing risk. Key Responsibilities:
- Promote customer service in the store by greeting and supporting customer needs, ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience
- Maintain a neat and clean store appearance at the entrance, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers
- Conduct associate package checks, building and physical security inspections, and CCTV surveillance to minimize exposure to loss
- Promote a safe environment for associates and customers, responding to emergencies and providing support as needed
- Build partnerships with store and law enforcement agencies to prevent and investigate loss
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, including participating in company training programs and maintaining accurate records
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, employees, and law enforcement agencies
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High ethical standards and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation
- Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet scheduling requirements as set by the company
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a customer service environment, with a focus on providing exceptional service and support
- Prior experience in retail loss prevention, security, or law enforcement, with a strong understanding of security protocols and procedures
- Ability to operate and communicate on multiple frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
Physical and Cognitive Requirements:
- Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull on a frequent basis
- Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift (at least 8 hours)
- Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise
- Ability to comply with health and safety standards, including maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees
