As a Math Instructor at Vanguard College Prep, you will be responsible for instructing small groups of students in math core skills, promoting long-term understanding of topics and top scores in college readiness exams (ACT & SAT). You will track student progress, engage students in individualized growth and improvement opportunities, and model professionalism and strong organizational skills. You will also be responsible for developing and executing lesson plans, mentoring students with empathy and understanding, and creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field (Master's or higher preferred). You will also need to have teaching experience in math and/or experience working in a college-level tutoring center (1+ years). A GPA of 3.5 or higher is required, as well as proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites. Access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise/distraction is also necessary.
