Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Online Teaching Assistant to support our Faculty in undergraduate and graduate-level programs. As an Online TA, you will be responsible for providing individualized feedback to learners, grading assignments, and assisting with data collection. Key Responsibilities
- Support Faculty with the grading of assignments, including discussion forums, formative and summative assessments, and incomplete or late submissions
- Provide learners with individualized and substantive feedback on assignments, helping them to improve their understanding and performance
- Notify Faculty and the Learner Services Team regarding learners who are struggling and may need additional support with writing or subject area tutoring
- Assist with data collection as needed, helping to inform our teaching practices and improve learner outcomes
- Collaborate with Faculty to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, ensuring that our learners receive the best possible education
Essential Qualifications
- Teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate Business or Technology programs, with a strong understanding of the subject matter and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively
- Experience with grading learners' work at the university level, with a strong commitment to fairness, consistency, and transparency
- Experience using a course-level rubric, knowledgeable with a plagiarism software (e.g., Turnitin) and/or a learning management system, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms
- A bachelor's degree in Business from an accredited institution for undergraduate courses, and a master's degree in Business or Technology related fields from an accredited institution for graduate courses
- At least two years of teaching or TA experience in a Business School or with Business related subject areas, with a strong track record of achieving results and supporting learner success
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of industry experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of the practical applications of the subject matter and the ability to bring real-world examples into the classroom
- Experience working in a remote or online environment, with a strong ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues and learners in a virtual setting
- A strong commitment to social responsibility and a desire to make a positive impact in the world, with a passion for education and a willingness to go above and beyond to support our learners
