The Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing at arenaflex is collecting application materials for a pool of part-time lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the academic year. Successful candidates will be able to teach a range of courses in mechanical engineering, mechatronic engineering, or advanced manufacturing. The department's three programs share several courses, and faculty members regularly teach across the disciplines. arenaflex is seeking faculty who are competent in their field, collaborative with colleagues and staff, and committed to student success.
The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. Candidates must have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, proficiency in spoken and written English, and expertise in at least one of the three department disciplines.
Preferred qualifications include prior teaching experience, advanced or terminal degrees in related disciplines, and industrial experience in mechanical or mechatronic engineering or advanced manufacturing. Consideration will be given for professional credentials such as a professional engineer's license and/or manufacturing-specific certifications such as CMfgE or CMfgT. Bilingual candidates will be given preference.
