We're seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team, working remotely from the comfort of your own home. As a key member of our accounting team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial data, while also providing exceptional support to our stakeholders.
**Job Summary:**
As a Senior Bookkeeper at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to junior bookkeepers, while also performing complex accounting tasks, such as financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. You'll work closely with our management team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and industry standards. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the financial health and stability of our organization, while also driving business growth and innovation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide direction and guidance to junior bookkeepers, ensuring they have the necessary training, support, and resources to excel in their roles
* Prepare and analyze complex financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
* Develop and implement financial models, forecasts, and budgets to inform business decisions and drive growth
* Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management on financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and industry standards, including GAAP and SOX
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, cost savings, and revenue enhancements
* Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders
* Participate in special projects and initiatives, as assigned by management
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA certification preferred)
* At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
* Proven track record of success in a senior accounting role, with a strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and industry standards
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings to stakeholders
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and develop junior team members
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Experience with ERP systems, such as PeopleSoft, and other accounting software
* Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and quality
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Master's degree in Accounting or related field
* Experience working in the healthcare industry or a related field
* Certification in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) or a related field
* Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
* Strong knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques
* Experience with financial planning and budgeting software, such as Adaptive Insights or Anaplan
