Job Overview
The Senior Financial Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the company's financial accounting needs, including the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Key Responsibilities
- Aid in the maintenance of general ledgers and the month-end close process related to corporate accounting, including the preparation and review of journal entries for intercompany disposals, intercompany allocations, and related party transactions
- Prepare and review reconciliations for key accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis and perform variance analyses
- Monitor intercompany accounts, address any out-of-balance issues, and work with intercompany payments
- Track related party transactions throughout the fiscal year and perform valuation analyses to determine whether related party transactions are at arm's length
- Collaborate with the Financial Planning, Legal, and other teams within Controllership to obtain necessary supporting documentation
- Work directly with the Manager, Financial Accounting - Corporate on ad-hoc management initiatives
- Aid in the preparation of blithequark's financial statements through the preparation of financial schedules and footnotes
- Research technical accounting issues and prepare accounting memoranda to document changes in accounting treatment
- Assist in managing internal and external audits by working with requests and preparing status meetings
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- At least 3 years of accounting experience
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of motivation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- A team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- A combination of public and private work experience
- Experience in SAP
- Entertainment or technology industry experience
- CPA license
