About the Role

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in the San Francisco Metro Area, CA. Key Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant at YPTC, your key responsibilities will include:

• Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly financials and related analysis
• Grant tracking and monitoring
• Cash flow projections and monitoring
• Preparation for outside audits
• Interacting with clients, their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees on a regular basis
• Traveling to client offices as needed when it is safe to do so

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in public accounting and/or industry; 5+ years preferred
• Outstanding communication skills and a positive attitude
• Knowledge of, or interest in learning, multiple accounting software packages; QuickBooks experience is a plus
• Intermediate-level Excel skills
• A willingness to travel to client offices as needed when it is safe to do so
• Nonprofit experience preferred, but not required

Compensation and Benefits

The starting annual base salary for this role is $60,000 to $80,000, based on a 35-hour work week. Total compensation may increase with overtime pay and eligibility for various bonuses. We also offer a professional development reimbursement and technology stipend on an annual basis.
