We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Assistant to join our Office of Admissions team at James Madison University. As a Graduate Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the admissions process, interacting with prospective students and families, and contributing to the success of our department. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in higher education administration, develop your skills, and be part of a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admissions recruitment, data analysis, and outreach to prospective and accepted students
- Support the execution of on-campus events and programs for prospective and admitted students
- Contribute to the undergraduate freshman admissions process, including application review and travel related to high school visits
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions with students, parents, and alumni
- Perform general office duties and other tasks as assigned

Requirements:
- Interest in working with prospective students and families
- Excellent communication and attention to detail skills
- Availability to work 20 hours per week between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend and evening hours required)
- Conditional or unconditional acceptance into a graduate program (or ability to meet this criteria by the start of the assistantship)
