Role Description
• Lead the creation of complex residential and commercial estimates for water, fire, mold, and storm damage, fully compliant with insurance carrier standards.
• Ensure the integrity of the Scope of Work, proactively identifying missing line items to prevent revenue leakage.
• Develop and maintain standardized estimating templates and processes to optimize efficiency and scalability.
• Analyze project profitability by comparing estimates with actual field expenditures and provide actionable insights to project management.
• Identify gaps in the sales-to-estimating handoff and propose workflow improvements to streamline operations.
• Manage the supplement process, negotiating with adjusters to ensure all required repairs are covered and properly documented.
• Mentor and coach junior estimators and support staff on advanced estimating techniques, sketching, and code compliance.
• Provide clear, real-time updates to the North American team during overlapping hours.
• Collaborate with leadership to design and implement training programs for expanding estimating teams.
• Proficient in industry-standard estimating platforms (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility, PlanSwift, or similar) for creating accurate, insurance-compliant scopes, complex sketches, and line-item cost structures.
• Experience with project management and CRM platforms (e.g., JobTread, Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, or similar) to track projects, manage documents, and monitor workflow.
• Skilled in real-time communication tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar) to coordinate with field teams, project managers, and clients.
• Familiarity with digital field data platforms (e.g., Encircle, Matterport, iGuide, or similar) for reviewing photos, 3D scans, and other property documentation.
• Proficient in office productivity suites (Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, or similar) for reporting, SOP creation, and process documentation.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in International/US Based restoration or construction estimating, ideally across water, fire, mold, or storm damage.
• Advanced proficiency with estimating software, including complex sketches, templates, and insurance-compliant line items.
• Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing profitable projects.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in remote, synchronous team environments.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable driving strategic initiatives within estimating and project workflows.
• Ability to work remotely, under US hours.
