the Job Title: Junior Business Data Analyst – Financial Strategy & Analytics Location: Remote Experience: 0–2 Years Industry: Financial Services / Investment Management About the Role Capital Plan Holdings is seeking a highly motivated Junior Business Data Analyst to support financial planning, investment analysis, and data-driven decision-making initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of finance, data, and technology, enabling business stakeholders to gain actionable insights from complex financial datasets. You will work closely with finance leaders, investment teams, and technology partners to enhance reporting accuracy, optimize processes, and support strategic financial initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Analyze financial datasets including investment portfolios, revenue streams, cost structures, and forecasts • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities • Gather and document business requirements from finance and investment stakeholders • Translate requirements into functional specifications, data models, and reporting needs • Conduct gap analysis (As-Is vs To-Be) for financial systems and processes • Perform data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation across multiple financial systems • Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for financial applications and reporting tools • Prepare and maintain documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, SRS, and data dictionaries Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field • Strong understanding of financial concepts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Forecasting, Investments) • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, financial modeling basics) • Basic knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail • Excellent communication and documentation skills Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) • Basic knowledge of SQL or database querying. • Understanding of financial systems (SAP, Oracle Financials, or similar). • Knowledge on data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) • Understanding of investment management or portfolio analytics • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX) Who Should Apply? • Recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to enter finance + data analytics roles • Candidates from non-IT backgrounds (Finance, Accounting, MBA, Economics) with analytical skills • Individuals interested in financial analytics, investment insights, and business intelligence Pay: $62,500.00 - $73,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Health insurance • Health savings account • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: Remote
