Apply Now
Marketing Director What you’ll do We are seeking a fully remote, high-energy, strategic, and hands-on Marketing Director with a deep background in the startup ecosystem. This is a dual-purpose role: you will lead the brand strategy for the Incubator itself, while also serving as a fractional marketing advisor for our portfolio of early-stage startups. Honed time management skills and the ability to wear multiple hats is essential. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities 1. Incubator Brand & Growth - Strategic Positioning: Define and execute OTI’s brand strategy to attract high-potential open-source entrepreneurs and investors. - Content & Thought Leadership: Oversee the production of high-quality content (blogs, whitepapers, webinars) that highlights OTI’s expertise in OSS commercialization and AI/ML technologies - Community Engagement: Strengthen OTI’s relationship with the global open-source community through strategic partnerships and digital engagement. 2. Portfolio Support (Venture Services) - Founder Mentorship: Act as a "Marketing-as-a-Service" lead for incubated companies, helping them build their first marketing stacks and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies. - Launch Strategy: Guide startups through product launches - Growth Hacking: Assist portfolio companies in experiment-driven lead generation and community-building tactics. Requirements - Startup Veteran: 7+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role at a high-growth startup or venture studio. - OSS Knowledge: Familiarity with the open-source ecosystem - Technical Literacy: Comfort speaking to technical audiences; knowledge of Python data science (NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch) or AI/ML infrastructure is a plus. - Multidisciplinary Skillset: You are a "T-shaped" marketer—deep in strategy but capable of executing on copy, basic design, SEO, and paid social when needed. - Founder Empathy: Experience working directly with technical founders and the ability to coach them through the complexities of early-stage growth. - Data-Driven: Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot/Salesforce) and analytics platforms to measure and optimize marketing ROI. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Healthcare Coverage: 100% employer-paid healthcare for employees and their families, including medical, dental, and vision plans. Retirement Plan: Access to a 401(k) program. Work Environment: Fully remote role with flexibility to manage your schedule in a results-driven environment.
