Position: Senior Software Architect
Location: Remote (Pakistan)

Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
Role Overview:
Were seeking a Senior Software Architect to design, build, and evolve large-scale backend systems for production use. Youll lead system-level design, implement critical components, and guide other developers in executing high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain backend systems that handle production workloads at scale.
- Lead architectural improvements and redesigns for APIs, crawlers, data pipelines, and other critical systems.
- Build new production systems from scratch and ensure long-term maintainability.
- Break down complex designs into actionable components and delegate tasks effectively.
- Support live systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with leadership and senior engineers on technical direction.
- Mentor developers through code reviews, design discussions, and best practices.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in software engineering or architecture, with a strong backend focus.
- Proven track record of designing and maintaining production systems used by real users.

Experience designing APIs and backend systems at scale.
- Strong systems thinking: performance, scalability, failure modes, and maintainability.
- Ability to work autonomously and make high-impact technical decisions.

Python experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) for productivity and code quality.

- Background in data-heavy systems (feeds, crawlers, analytics pipelines).
