What We're Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics.
• 7-10+ years of accounting experience; revenue accounting preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue accounting (contractual adjustments, bad debt, AR).
• Experience with Kodiak (Crowe) tool is a plus.
• CPA preferred.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Calculate monthly net revenues, contractual allowances, bad debt, aging reserves, and accounts receivable valuations on time.
• Ensure accuracy of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for patient accounts and reserves.
• Oversee data accuracy for contractual and bad debt reserves, including Zero-Balance Account (ZBA) studies.
• Work with Revenue Cycle and Decision Support teams to verify Contract Manager Tools and General Ledger mappings.
• Perform month-end revenue variance analysis (payer mix, rates, case mix, volume).
• Review accounts receivable to identify and fix problem accounts, underpayments, denials, and write-offs.
• Analyze Patient Financial Services reports to resolve payer issues and improve processes.
• Support projects related to reimbursement, metrics, and revenue cycle improvements.
• Create analytical tools and reports like profitability models and financial indicators.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
