[Remote] Group Vice President, Legal and Regulatory Affairs

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Beachbody Company is on a mission to build the Health Esteem Category with its new brand BODi. They are seeking a Group Vice President, Legal & Regulatory Affairs to lead compliance in FDA/FTC regulatory law, nutrition and supplement claims, and product labeling while collaborating with various business areas to enable compliant growth. Responsibilities • Lead on FDA, FTC, DSHEA, state consumer protection, and global frameworks governing supplements, nutrition, and labeling • Provide hands-on claims substantiation and labeling review for nutritional and supplement products • Provide end-to-end legal support for advertising, brand, and influencer campaigns across our streaming fitness platform and supplement lines • Ensure compliance with FTC rules, consumer protection laws, and industry standards while enabling speed of execution • Draft, negotiate, and manage a broad range of agreements, including vendor, supplier, technology, operations, partnership, and talent agreements • Oversee litigation with outside counsel, ensuring business-aligned strategies and efficient resolution • Manage corporate insurance programs and claims • Collaborate seamlessly with marketing, R&D, operations, technology, and finance • Mentor across the legal department, fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and solution-orientation Skills • JD from an accredited U.S. law school; admitted in at least one state • 12+ years' combined law firm and in-house experience, with significant time advising on supplements/nutrition claims and labeling • Expertise in FDA/FTC regulatory matters, product labeling, supplement/nutrition claims, and advertising review • Proven experience in marketing, contracts, litigation management, and insurance programs • Executive presence and ability to partner directly with senior leadership • Pragmatic, business-savvy, and comfortable thriving in a lean, fast-paced public company environment • SEC/public company governance or securities reporting is a plus, but not required Benefits • Comprehensive benefits suite • Annual bonus opportunity • Employee stock purchase plan • 401k plan with company match • 12-week Maternity/Paternity Leave paid at 100% • Employee perks & discounts • Training & career development • Generous PTO Company Overview • The Beachbody Company provides structured step-by-step home fitness and nutrition programs.
