Responsibilities:
- Accurately transcribe physician dictations into specific, organized reports
- Utilize client-specific guidelines on content and formatting
- Locate patient records based on available information
- Perform monthly audits on existing jobs
- Adhere to all confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA
- Opportunity to take on an Editor role and assist with difficult reports that require advanced help
Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in medical transcription
- CMT certification preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, procedures, pharmacology, and practices
- Ability to utilize multiple software platforms simultaneously
- Minimum accuracy standard of 98.7% required
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
