About the Role:
- Conduct tax interviews with clients and support DIY online tax clients through virtual tools, such as video conferencing, phone, chat, and email
- Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services to drive revenue and expand our client base
- Collaborate with leaders and peers to communicate and coordinate your remote work, ensuring seamless results and teamwork
- Grow your tax expertise and stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements
Your Expertise:
- Experience completing individual tax returns, with a strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and procedures
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Access to high-speed, reliable internet and proficiency in technology, including MS Teams and Outlook
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in clients and explain complex tax situations concisely
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience utilizing effective customer service techniques and researching information using various tax and publication tools
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent, with a high school diploma or equivalent, or higher
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours a week during peak tax season, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs
Nice to Have:
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification, with experience completing complex tax returns and tax planning
- 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax, with a strong understanding of industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Experience conducting virtual tax interviews, with a focus on creating confidence in clients and delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Sales and/or marketing experience, with a proven ability to drive revenue growth and expand client relationships
