About the Role: Senior Data Scientist - Generative AI
We're on the hunt for a talented Senior Data Scientist with a passion for Generative AI to lead our AI initiatives and drive business growth through data-driven insights. As a Senior Data Scientist - Generative AI, you will play a pivotal role in developing and deploying cutting-edge AI models, leveraging your expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP). You'll work closely with our cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions that transform our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI models using techniques such as BERT, LLaMA, and multi-modal models for various applications, including chat interfaces and text analysis.
- Prompt Engineering: Craft and optimize prompts for AI models to ensure high-quality outputs and fine-tune models for specific tasks and applications.
- Evaluation Metrics: Develop and apply evaluation metrics such as BLEU, ROUGE, and METEOR to assess the performance of AI models and identify areas for improvement.
- Quantization and Model Compression: Apply quantization techniques and other model compression methods to optimize AI models for deployment and scalability.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into products and services, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Generative AI and related fields, and apply research findings to drive innovation and improvement in our AI solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field, with a focus on Generative AI and NLP.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Proficiency in modern statistical modeling, machine learning, and optimization methodologies.
- Experience with Python, R, and/or shell scripting.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and web services.
- Generative AI Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Generative AI models such as BERT, LLaMA, and multi-modal models.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and customization techniques.
- Knowledge of evaluation metrics such as BLEU, ROUGE, and METEOR.
- Decent understanding of quantization techniques and other model compression methods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Cloud-based AI Services: Experience with cloud-based AI services such as AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI Platform, or Azure Machine Learning.
- Containerization and Orchestration: Knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Programming Skills: Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C++, or Julia.
- Domain Expertise: Experience in a specific domain such as healthcare, finance, or education.
