Role Overview
As a Senior Engineer - Cybersecurity Threat Detection and Mitigation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced cybersecurity solutions to detect and prevent threats in real-time. You will work closely with our team of engineers and analysts to identify vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure the security and integrity of our systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in protecting our clients and their customers from cyber threats, fraud, and abuse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement advanced cybersecurity solutions to detect and prevent threats in real-time
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies
- Develop and maintain expertise in threat detection and mitigation technologies, including machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data analytics

Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, threat detection, or a related field
- Experience working with programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, or equivalent
- Experience with Spring Boot framework, Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases, and application development
- Experience working with Business Rules Engine Management systems like Drools
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with UI development using React or other front-end frameworks
- Experience with near real-time systems and streaming data processing
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes
- Certifications in cybersecurity, such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP

Compensation and Benefits:
