About the Role and Program

The Onyx Collective Social Media team is seeking a highly motivated and creative intern to support the development and execution of innovative marketing campaigns for originals and the brand. As a key member of the team, you will be exposed to the day-to-day responsibilities of working in the entertainment marketing field, including social media campaign building, project management, internal and external communication, and continuous mentorship from dedicated team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in brainstorming discussions and contribute new creative social media ideas to enhance campaign strategies
• Conduct social media research and gather creative social media trends, making suggestions on how to incorporate them into campaigns
• Develop and communicate innovative and creative social media ideas to the team
• Collaborate with team members to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain high attention to detail and handle confidential information with discretion

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• Familiarity with social media platforms and the changing social media landscape
• Experience developing and/or communicating innovative and creative social media ideas
• Ability to work in collaborative environments and manage multiple projects
• High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Experience handling confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Previous experience (academic or internship) in a related industry, such as marketing, digital media, or entertainment
• Major or previous coursework in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field

Education and Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, you must:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program
• Have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting
• Be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization

Internship Information and Benefits

This internship is a remote position that requires a consistent, reliable work schedule and a quiet, dedicated workspace. The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through early June 2025, with a 40-hour workweek schedule from Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm PT. The pay rate for this remote role is $22.00 per hour, and select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
