About the Role: Airplane Support Specialist (Line - RON)
We're seeking an experienced Airplane Support Specialist to join our team in a hybrid work model, combining remote work with time in our office. As a critical member of our Technical Operations team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the airworthiness of our all-Boeing fleet - the largest Boeing 737 fleet in the world. Your work will be instrumental in supporting our on-time flight schedule and driving the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with other Support Specialists and teams to guarantee the success of our organization
- Perform a wide range of tasks related to aircraft maintenance, including checks, troubleshooting, upgrading, repairing, manufacturing, assembling, welding, raising, and painting various aircraft components
- Read and understand maintenance technical manuals, wire charts, blueprints, and other related documents
- Follow instructions, learn, understand, and comply with maintenance procedures, guidelines, and regulations
- Write accurate and complete summaries of work performed on designated forms and sign off to verify work was done as instructed
- Possess adequate computer skills to access and complete computer-based training modules
- Meet all training requirements in a timely manner
- Be aware of hazardous situations and able to handle emergencies as needed
- Perform well in fast-paced environments under tight deadlines and time constraints to complete aircraft maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with others as part of a team and work under stressful conditions
- Stay alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment effectively
- Communicate information and instructions in writing, verbally, or via radio equipment
- Provide friendly service to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external clients
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand maintenance technical manuals and related documents
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures, guidelines, and regulations
- Adequate computer skills to access and complete computer-based training modules
- Ability to meet all training requirements in a timely manner
- Awareness of hazardous situations and ability to handle emergencies as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and time constraints
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered a plus:
- Previous experience in aircraft maintenance or a related field
- Familiarity with Boeing 737 aircraft systems and components
- Certifications or licenses related to aircraft maintenance, such as FAA certification
- Experience working in a hybrid or remote work environment
