As a Senior Microsoft Azure Security Specialist, you'll play a critical role in developing comprehensive documentation, strategic guidelines, and security architectures that enable customers to transition seamlessly to cloud environments and optimize their security posture using Microsoft's security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation Development: Craft high-quality, detailed, and accessible documentation for cloud solution architects and customers, guiding the implementation of Azure security practices and the integration of Microsoft security products like Azure Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE).
- Security Strategy Formulation: Develop scalable security architectures and strategic approaches for deploying Microsoft Azure security technologies, tailored to customers of varying sizes and industries.
- Educational Materials Creation: Produce training materials and guidelines that help users understand and effectively implement Microsoft Azure security tools and practices.
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate with customers to understand their security needs and challenges, translating these into actionable and understandable documentation and deployment guides.
- Feedback Loop Management: Gather feedback from end-users and cloud solution architects to continuously improve documentation and strategies, ensuring all materials are up-to-date with the latest Microsoft Azure features and security best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams, sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure that all documentation aligns with product capabilities and customer requirements.
- Industry Compliance and Standards: Ensure all documentation and recommended practices comply with relevant industry standards and regulations for cybersecurity.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Microsoft Azure (AZ 305 Solution Architect), such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, are preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of extensive experience in Azure, SOC, with a deep focus on cloud security and operations within Microsoft Azure environments.
- A proven track record of creating high-quality, technical documentation and strategic guides for complex IT security solutions.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure security tools and services, including Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and other related products.
- A strong understanding of cloud architecture and security frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in an understandable way to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role or in creating customer-centric documentation.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- A demonstrable ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
