Senior SolidWorks Engineer — Complex Curved Structure / Sheet Metal - Contract to Hire

Description We are seeking a highly skilled SolidWorks engineer / CAD modeler to recreate and refine a complex geometric sculpture for manufacturing and engineering purposes. The structure features intricate curved surfaces, repeating elements, and potential sheet-metal fabrication components. Strong proficiency in advanced SolidWorks tools is required. Reference model and assessment files will be provided to shortlisted candidates. ________________________________________ Project Scope • Work from an existing concept model and reference images • Recreate or refine the design in SolidWorks • Ensure manufacturability for metal fabrication • Handle complex surfacing and curved geometry • Prepare clean assemblies and organized feature trees • Produce drawings suitable for fabrication (if required) ________________________________________ Required Skills • Expert in SolidWorks (not beginner/intermediate) • Complex surfacing (curvy shapes) • Sheet metal tools for rolled parts • Assembly modeling • Parametric modeling best practices • Strong understanding of fabrication constraints • Ability to model efficiently and accurately ________________________________________ Test / Assessment (Required) Selected applicants may be asked to complete a short engineering test.
