You will be a key contributor to the Apple Well-being Strategy, working collaboratively with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure that our products and services are not only innovative but also contribute positively to human flourishing. Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Well-being Strategist, you will be a driving force in embedding well-being considerations into Apple's DNA. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Strategic Guidance & Insights: Serve as a subject matter expert on well-being, leveraging your deep understanding of psychology, neuroscience, and related fields to inform product strategy and development. You will translate complex research findings into actionable insights for product teams.
- Product Innovation & Integration: Collaborate directly with product, engineering, and design teams to identify opportunities to integrate well-being features and functionalities into Apple's hardware and software offerings. This includes contributing to the ideation, prototyping, and testing of new well-being-focused features.
- Research & Synthesis: Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and synthesize key findings from scientific research related to well-being, mental health, social connection, and positive psychology. You will translate these findings into clear, concise, and accessible formats for diverse audiences.
- Well-being Education & Advocacy: Develop and deliver engaging educational content – including workshops, presentations, and online resources – to raise awareness and promote understanding of well-being principles within Apple. You will advocate for well-being initiatives across the organization.
- Community Building & Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external experts in the field of well-being, including academics, researchers, and thought leaders. You will organize and facilitate gatherings, workshops, and discussions to foster innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Data-Driven Impact: Develop metrics and methodologies to measure the impact of well-being initiatives on user behavior and outcomes. You will use data to inform strategy and demonstrate the value of well-being investments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams across various departments, including Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Human Resources, to ensure alignment on well-being objectives.
- Trend Analysis & Future-Proofing: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the field of well-being, and proactively identify opportunities for Apple to remain at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Education: A postgraduate degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Neuroscience, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of experience working as a well-being expert, with a proven track record of translating research findings into practical applications. Experience within a technology or product development organization is highly desirable.
- Expertise: Deep understanding of well-being principles, including positive psychology, mindfulness, social connection, and mental health.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
