Job Description: F5 & Datacenter Network Engineer Overview We are looking for an experienced F5 & Datacenter Network Engineer to support and enhance our enterprise application delivery and datacenter network infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting F5 BIG-IP and rSeries platforms, while also supporting Cisco Nexus and Cisco ACI environments. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with L4–L7 load balancing and a solid understanding of modern datacenter networking. Key Responsibilities F5 BIG-IP / rSeries - Manage and support F5 BIG-IP systems (LTM, SSL, iRules) and rSeries tenants. - Configure and maintain virtual servers, pools, health monitors, and profiles. - Perform SSL certificate management, cipher updates, and security hardening. - Troubleshoot L4–L7 traffic issues using tools such as tcpdump and ssldump. - Perform TMOS upgrades, hotfix installations, and maintain HA device groups. - Work with application teams to ensure reliable and secure traffic flows. Datacenter Networking (Cisco Nexus & ACI) - Support Cisco Nexus switching platforms (2K/5K/7K/9K). - Troubleshoot VPC, L2/L3 routing, OSPF, BGP, and EVPN/VXLAN. - Assist with NX-OS upgrades and hardware lifecycle management. - Support Cisco ACI operations including tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, EPGs, and contracts. - Participate in ACI fabric upgrades and health validation. - Troubleshoot endpoint learning, contract issues, and L3Out connectivity. General Responsibilities - Respond to incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes. - Maintain documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks. - Collaborate with application, security, and infrastructure teams. - Follow change management processes and ensure configuration consistency.   Location & Benefits: Location: Dallas or Chicago (Oakbrook Terrace) Preferred, but remote candidates are acceptable.
