Job Summary
As a Family Dollar Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting sales growth, and maintaining a positive store environment. You will work in a remote setting, utilizing digital tools and platforms to engage with customers, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues. Your primary goal will be to deliver outstanding customer experiences, drive sales growth, and contribute to the overall success of our stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Sales Support: Support sales growth by promoting products, offering recommendations, and driving customer engagement.
- Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store environment, including unloading merchandise, organizing stockrooms, and transporting merchandise to the sales floor.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately process transactions using our POS system, handling customer funds, and maintaining a secure shopping environment.
- Customer Safety: Remain aware of customer activity, ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment for all customers.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to maintain an effective and profitable store operation.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
- Experience: Prefer experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting: Ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height.
- Physical Demands: Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Availability and Skills
- Availability: Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
