About PGIM DC Solutions and the Role
PGIM DC Solutions is a pioneering business within PGIM, dedicated to developing innovative technology platforms for Defined Contribution clients. As a Top 10 DC Asset Manager, we're continuing to expand our presence with large Defined Contribution Plan Sponsors and Consultants. As the Director of Systems Development, you'll play a crucial role in defining and deploying the cloud-based architecture to host financial models and systems for our new business line, DCS. This is an exciting opportunity to build an innovative consumer product with high-velocity features and the technology to support those goals. You'll work in a hands-on capacity in a start-up environment, coding and deploying financial models and systems that underlie this new business line.
Core Functional Responsibilities
- Hands-on production full-stack implementation for the DCS business, driving the development of new features and services for our consumer client base.
- Collaborate with other technologists, QA, and product management to build software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
- Define and deploy the necessary cloud-based architecture to host financial models and systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Work within an agile development framework, creating and reviewing stories, sprints, and product grooming to drive iterative development.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A BS in Computer Science/Engineering, Finance, or Mathematics/Statistics.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in full-stack development, preferably in financial services.
- Strong programming skills in Python and PostgreSQL, with a passion for learning and implementing high-performance new technologies.
- Solid numerical programming abilities and experience with git source control systems.
- Experience working within an agile development framework, with a strong understanding of iterative development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
To stand out from the crowd, you'll ideally have:
- Knowledge of financial planning and software, with experience in developing solutions for the financial services industry.
- Experience with a variety of asset classes, including equity, bonds, and annuities.
- Defined Contribution / Retirement industry knowledge and experience, with a deep understanding of the market and its needs.
- Experience building and orchestrating containers and microservices, preferably on AWS.

The salary range for this role is from $150,000 to $210,000, depending on factors such as geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. You may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including a discretionary annual incentive program.
