Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Front Desk Worker to join our team at the Learning Center. Key Responsibilities

• Assist students in creating accounts in WCOnline, the Learning Center's online scheduling program, and help schedule appointments for those requesting tutoring/writing assistance, demonstrating a high level of technical proficiency and attention to detail.
• Answer phones, respond to email inquiries, take messages, and complete general administrative duties as necessary to help keep the office running smoothly and efficiently, utilizing excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Send nightly reminders to tutors and writing staff regarding upcoming appointments, ensuring timely and effective communication.
• Maintain the tidiness of the Learning Center office area, creating a positive and productive environment for students and staff.
• Create promotional materials for the Learning Center services, showcasing creativity and initiative in promoting our programs and resources.
• Oversee the floor of the tutoring center, directing students to their tutor upon arrival and maintaining the flow of traffic, demonstrating strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Assist with data entry and cleanup of appointment records, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all administrative tasks.

Essential Qualifications

• Federal Work Study required, with a strong understanding of the program's guidelines and regulations.
• Current enrollment as a student at Saint Xavier University, with a minimum GPA of 2.0, demonstrating academic achievement and a commitment to learning.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a high level of support and responsiveness to students, staff, and faculty, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Responsible, dependable, and punctual, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving results.
