About the Role
As a Business System Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving the technical integration of complex systems, leveraging your expertise in data analysis, system integration, and technical requirements gathering. You'll work closely with our development team, business stakeholders, and other analysts to ensure seamless integration of multiple systems, including mainframe, API, and web services. Your experience as a Java Developer will serve as a strong foundation for this role, where you'll apply your technical knowledge to drive business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage integrated functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and support requirements of complex systems.
- Create feature test strategies and environment needs to ensure thorough testing and validation.
- Serve as a liaison between technical and business stakeholders, ensuring that technical solutions meet business needs.
- Apply and mentor the use of tools to define requirements, and anticipate opportunities for improvement.
- Develop high-level designs, including architecture requirements, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Assist in developing training documentation and identifying additional documentation needs.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, input stories for iteration, and work on assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with the team to gather requirements, parse XML, and work with data retrieval tools.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field.
- At least 3 years of related experience in business analysis, system integration, or a similar field.
- Strong technical knowledge of web services, APIs, and data integration principles.
- Experience with Oracle database or other relational databases, and SQL.
- Medicare knowledge or health insurance experience is a must-have.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Experience with mainframe systems and screen-scraping platforms like Jicata.
- Knowledge of Medicare claims systems and data retrieval tools.
- Certifications in business analysis, Agile methodologies, or related fields.
- Experience with Oracle Service Bus and other middleware solutions.
