Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Agent to join our team in La Porte City, IA. As a Customer Service Agent, you will be part of a team reporting to a Supervisor, Customer Experience, starting in November 2023. You will be responsible for responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls, building customer relationships, and resolving customers' challenges using all resources for account selection, product identification, order placement, and order management.
Key Responsibilities
- Build customer relationships by responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls
- Work with customers and Sales team members daily in a team-based environment
- Use a computer and multiple computer programs with periods of sitting up to 8 hours per day
- Resolve customers' challenges by using all resources for account selection, product identification, order placement, and order management
- Resolve pricing and invoicing discrepancies, apply credit, and implement return procedures
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of customer service experience
- Ability to commute to our facility from your home
- A secure workspace at home dedicated to job activity
- Proficiency in operating and navigating multiple PC-based programs at once
- Stable internet with ability to provide proof of internet speeds greater than 5 megabits per second upload, 15 megabits per second download and ping less than 80 milliseconds
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous experience in a remote or hybrid work environment
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Strong technical skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
