About the Role: Certified English Tutor (Remote)
We're seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate online English tutors to join our Preply community. As a Preply tutor, you'll have the freedom to teach English online to students worldwide, on your own schedule and at your own price. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy that comes with being part of our remote team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English online to Preply students worldwide, tailoring your lessons to their needs and goals.
- Create your own lesson plans or utilize Preply's curriculum to ensure engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Set your availability and schedule lessons with students using Preply's integrated calendar.
- Access training and professional development opportunities through Preply's Tutor Academy and regular webinars to enhance your teaching skills.
- Provide comprehensive materials and resources to meet students' needs, leveraging your experience and creativity.
- Track your performance, retrieve payments, and sync your Google Calendar through Preply's platform for tutors.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English, with a strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
- A University degree or Certificate to teach English (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, etc.), or equivalent qualification in English language teaching.
- Experience teaching one-on-one classes with proven results, preferably in an online setting.
- A high-speed internet connection to ensure smooth and uninterrupted online teaching.
- Energetic, patient, responsible, and cheerful demeanor, with a passion for teaching and learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with online language teaching platforms.
- Knowledge of curriculum design and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
