Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Science professional to join our team. As a Data Science professional, you will work closely with various business stakeholders to translate business inquiries into meaningful insights and deliver high-quality analytical solutions. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of data science tools and technologies, including SQL, Google Cloud Big Query, and Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Collaboration (20%): Participate in meetings across the enterprise data science community, gaining exposure to cross-functional business units. Build networking relationships and receive mentorship from colleagues and senior leadership.
- Imparting Results (20%): Communicate findings and project status clearly and professionally through presentations. Provide recommendations to upper management and comprehensive report-outs to senior leaders on projects and other related initiatives.
- Data Investigation (60%): Apply a wide range of database applications and analytical tools, including SQL, Google Cloud Big Query, and Python. Utilize critical thinking and perform data analysis for various business problems and potential opportunities, creating high-quality analytical solutions.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics)
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Analytics, Machine Learning)
- Excellent academic performance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with a modern programming language (e.g., Python, R)
- Experience running queries against data (e.g., SQL, Google BigQuery)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and data mining
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS)
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
