The Role: Experienced Full Stack Developer - American Express Virtual Assistant
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team as a Virtual Assistant. As a key member of our OnBrand production team, you'll play a critical role in developing and executing digital experiences that drive business results and create seamless customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute development for multiple parallel project engagements: Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Write high-quality code for digital platforms: Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Produce, maintain, and modify digital experiences and user interfaces: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop intuitive and engaging digital experiences.
- Partner with UX/UI, copy, and design teams: Work closely with creative teams to develop the overall look and design of digital experiences.
- Ensure best practices and industry standards: Incorporate accessibility, responsiveness, performance, and ease of use into project ideation and execution.
- Develop an overall development approach and guide other developers: Provide coaching, feedback, and oversight to junior developers and ensure consistent execution across projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects: Collaborate with QA teams to identify and resolve defects, and apply learnings to optimize development processes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field: A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in full-stack development: Proven experience in developing and executing digital experiences using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: In-depth knowledge of front-end and back-end development principles.
- Experience with digital experience platforms and tools: Familiarity with content management systems, analytics tools, and other digital experience platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile development methodologies: Knowledge of Agile principles and experience working in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with UX/UI design principles: Understanding of user-centered design principles and human-computer interaction.
- Experience with accessibility and performance optimization: Knowledge of best practices for accessibility and performance optimization.
