About Our Team and the Role
This position is a member of the Mortgages team within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for the entire second mortgage lending activity and supports the Business Services Group on an as-needed basis with projects and day-to-day tasks for the Credit Union. As an experienced Mortgage Operations Leader, you will oversee a team of loan officers and credit closers, ensuring that loans are processed in a timely and efficient manner and closed in accordance with established Credit Union rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of loan officers and credit closers to ensure seamless loan processing and closure
- Work directly with staff to guarantee that advances are handled in an opportune and effective way and shut as per laid out Credit Association Rules
- Handle raised issues connected with Home Value handling
- Recruit and train new staff as well as mentor for top execution, giving direction, suggesting and carrying out preparing and improvement systems
- Process Credit Association representative advance solicitations

Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum five years of mortgage lending experience; ideally well-defined for Home Equity credit start and handling
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Strong knowledge of RESPA rules and division capabilities
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, as well as individuals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and function as an essential part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work shifting schedules, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel overnight as required
- Ability to maintain good performance and attendance

- Past mortgage lending experience
- Experience and knowledge of Episys
- Past administrative or leadership experience
