About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our healthcare data entry team, you will play a critical role in processing various medical documents, extracting data, and entering it into our electronic database. This is a 4-6 month contract position, offering a competitive hourly rate of $16/hr, with the opportunity to work independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
A Day in the Role
As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, your day will be filled with a variety of challenging and rewarding tasks, including:
- Processing independent medical reviews and other medical documents, extracting relevant data, and entering it into our electronic database via Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word.
- Working independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion.
- Utilizing critical thinking steps to determine next steps and reaching out to clients via phone to obtain missing information.
- Providing exceptional customer service and client coordination over the phone, ensuring that client needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Working in a metrics/quota-driven environment, meeting productivity and quality standards, and continuously improving processes and procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- At least 1 year of remote work experience, with a proven track record of working independently and managing your time effectively.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics, reading, and writing.
- Previous experience working in a metrics-based environment, with a focus on meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims is preferred, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, with the ability to learn new software applications and systems.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated computer or laptop (no Chromebooks), with a secure and quiet workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as healthcare administration, medical records, or health information management.
- Certification in medical records or health information management, such as CMRS or RHIT.
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare software applications.
