About the Role: Intervention Specialist (SPED Teacher) - Fully Remote (OH)
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Intervention Specialist to work with us in a fully remote capacity. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing virtual support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them to thrive academically and socially. This is a full-time position, requiring 37.5 hours of commitment per week, and is tailored to support students in grades K-12.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual support to students with diverse learning needs, creating personalized learning plans that cater to their unique goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that are tailored to each student's specific needs, ensuring that they receive the most effective support possible.
- Utilize engaging online tools and resources to create an interactive and effective learning experience, fostering a love of learning and promoting academic achievement.
- Monitor student progress, adapting strategies as needed to meet each student's evolving needs and ensure they are on track to meet their goals.
- Manage a caseload of 20-25 students, providing regular feedback and progress updates to parents and guardians.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to supporting students with special needs.
- A degree in Special Education or a related field, providing a solid foundation in educational theory and practice.
- At least 2 years of previous experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a teletherapy setting, although we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
- A reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace, enabling you to deliver high-quality virtual lessons and support.
- A passion for helping students overcome challenges and succeed, driving your practice and informing your approach to supporting each student.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous experience working in a virtual or online learning environment, demonstrating your ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms.
- Knowledge of online learning platforms and tools, enabling you to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
- Experience working with students with a range of learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and other special needs.
